OmniROM is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.4 (KitKat), which is designed to increase performance, reliability and features over stock Android for your device.

OmniROM is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts.

All the source code for OmniROM is available in the OmniROM Github repo.

Notable features:

No Maps 7 glitches, Browser glitches, Gmail glitches, etc.
Uses ION memory allocator
Uses the newest Adreno (graphics) libraries and firmware available for our platform (these graphics libraries are newer than the graphics libraries in any other ROM; they were used in Android 4.2 for the Nexus 4)
Significantly smoother/faster graphics as a result of the new graphics libraries

First time installing OmniROM to your HTC Pico, or coming from another ROM:

Read known issues and FAQs
Copy GApps and OmniROM ZIPs to your SDCard
Boot into Recovery
DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET (otherwise your device will be stuck at boot)
Flash OmniROM zip from SDCard
Flash GApps zip from SDCard
Reboot

Upgrading from earlier version of OmniROM:

Copy the OmniROM ZIP to your SDCard
Boot into Recovery

Note: The new bootanimation isn't included in this build because it gives some very nasty OOM errors, causing phone to not boot. So, reverted back to old bootanim. Will work fine on resizing.
One bug fix, (the controls not showing in video player (in h/w acceleration mode))
option to revert back to classic webview (though we still using chromium) (open up build.prop and change "persist.webview.provider" from "chromium" to "classic")
